A Smattering Of Motivational Stuff Vol. 1

Monday, June 15, 2015

Sometimes life is hard. Sometimes we go through a lot and it brings us down. Sometimes we fail at something and have a hard time accepting that failure is a thing we all must go through. Sometimes we hold on to our failures, our weaknesses, our fears. Sometimes we forget that we are awesome.

This post is a small collection of stuff I've found online that I absolutely love, and that motivates and inspires me to stop focusing on the bad, and keep moving toward the good. Life is hard sometimes, but it doesn't have to suck all the time.

  1. Thanks for this - I've been a bit overwhelmed today with too many projects! :D I have three motivational quotes I keep with me at all times - they are posted on my wall above my desk, so I only need glance up. One is, "If it's important, you'll find a way. If not, you'll find an excuse."

The second is a quote from Robert Downey Jr., that I'm not entirely sure is appropriate here because of the verbiage. However, I figure the man has done something right to be able to return from the abyss so eloquently and with a sense of focus and permanence. Plus, I find him incredibly entertaining. :D

And lastly - is a quote from Yeats. A primal reminder to get to work. :Do not wait to strike until the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking."

Thanks for helping me refocus today!
