Happy May Day!

Happy May 1st! May Day used to be the holiday where you gave someone flowers and celebrated the coming of spring and warm weather. Before Europe was Christianized, it was a pagan holiday to worship Flora, the goddess of flowers. I wish it still were a thing to celebrate. I'd like to bring it back. It would be fun to start it back up and select a random person every year to bestow May Day flowers upon. I know I'd enjoy it. Although, I would probably rather have a potted plant, potted flowers, or even a packet of flower seeds, if it were being done to me, so who knows, maybe someone will be a lucky recipient tomorrow of my first annual May Day celebration and get a plant!

Also I think this quote is perfect for this blog. You can be the prettiest, most perfect, "flower" around, but we all get our strength from our struggles, and the "manure". The struggles we have now prepare us for the beauty we can possess later. We become better because of the things we face. Thanks for always reading, you guys. I really appreciate it. Have a great weekend. I've got a lot planned, I'll catch up with you next week!
